Last Updated on May 10, 2024 by Admin

Planning to withdraw cash from an ATM? It is as easy as going to the nearest machine in your location. But sometimes, they are offline and you will be wasting time and effort by knowing too late.

How to Check if ATM is Offline

Can I check the online and offline status of ATM before going? As of the moment, banks in the Philippines can only provide you a list of their ATMs across the country. There is no way to know if the machine near you is able to serve your request.

Common Problems

Various reasons may exist that will lead to offline status. While some features like balance inquiry or card activation may be available, the cash withdrawal is the most sought after service in these machines.

  • Cash not dispensing
  • Empty bills
  • Slow interconnection
  • Damaged machine

Options to Withdraw

If you are in a hurry, you may simply use your phone and search for another terminal nearby. During emergencies, you may also use other banks’ ATM with a fee of Php 15 to Php 25.

If you have a mobile banking app, you can simply do online transfers. You can also use it to pay using the e-wallet or debit feature in most shops.

However, you can also perform cash-out services if you want to initially transfer the money to any of your e-wallet account if you have one.
