Are you busy from Monday to Friday that you missed going to your local bank? Do not worry since most banks have Saturday schedules too. You can now do your withdrawals, apply for investment mutual funds, deposit cash and even open an account on weekends.

Most banks operate from Monday to Friday or what is called business days. However, there are also banks open on weekends to cater to the needs of their clients. Check out the list of open branches.

Asia United Bank

Asia United Bank has been growing in the past few years. A list of branches open can provide its clients the convenience to do banking on weekends. BPI branches with Saturday schedule are limited but there is always one near you. Take note of the banking hours as they may change without notice.

Chinabank

Chinabank has existing branches in both stand alone and mall facilities. You can do your banking related to cash deposit, remittance, bills payment and withdrawal. During weekends, you may search for a Chinabank branch open on these days outside of banking week.

DBP

Withdrawal, deposits and bills payment may be initiated in branches. The bank’s online channels are also available such as online portals, ATM and app.

Eastwest Bank

Eastwest Bank is also offering its clients the option to bank outside of Monday to Friday. However, they may only have limited branches to cater to your needs.

Landbank

Landbank is a government owned institution.

Some branches are found inside malls. Therefore, make sure to inquire first about their schedules on opening and closing hours during regular banking days. Opening schedules. Landbank is usually closed on weekends.

Some branches are available in malls such as Robinsons Novaliches and others. However, they banks are usually closes as well.

Metrobank

Metrobank is among the top banks in the Philippines. It offers competitive interest rates for both savings and checking accounts.

If you need to transact over the counter, Metrobank’s branches can accommodate you from Monday to Friday. The banking hours are 9 AM to 4 PM and you can do these transactions:

Robinsons Bank

Planning to go to the nearest Robinsons Bank branch? You may proceed to any of the bank’s branches. Although limited, you can still do your transactions such as deposits, withdrawal and account opening.

PNB

Depositors of Philippine National Bank may also need to do transactions during weekends. Here is a list of branches where you can transact.

PNB is just one of the few banks with open branches during Sundays. You may also have your transactions in their branches in:

PSBank

Based on our research, PSbank currently has open branches from Monday to Friday. Banking hours start from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. You may want to check out the list of branches to see the nearest one in your area.

RCBC

RCBC also has a list of branches but they are limited. Not all locations have weekend banking so you better check the one near your location. The bank offers deposit, investment and loan products. If you plan on opening an account, you can do so in those branches open on weekends.

Based on the information we gathered, RCBC branch in Manila open during Saturdays is 168 Mall in Binondo from 9 to 2 PM. The RCBC branch in Quezon City is Trinoma from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Unionbank

Many branches of Unionbank do not have this schedule. However, they have extended hours from Monday to Friday to serve you even after the usual banking hours.

Check Clearing

Since some banks are open on a Saturday, you might think that check deposits and clearing are available. While you can deposit your locally issued check, the count days to have it credited will be based on banking days.

Therefore, your check will be cleared on the next Monday.

In my experience, most banks will have a cutoff on a Friday at 3PM. All checks deposited after this time will be credited the next Monday.

Deposit Machines

Some banks such as BDO and BPI have their online cash deposit machines open on weekends. You may then use them for your deposits and other transactions. I was able to deposit up to Php 50,000 at a BPI cash deposit machine in Quezon City.

Holiday Schedules

Usually, banks are not open during holidays. This is true for those that are considered special non-working holidays. If you wish to know whether your bank is open on a holiday, stay tuned for their announcements to be updated.

Banking Hours

Banks usually have limited hours too. Most of them are open from 10 AM to closing time of 3 PM. However, mall based branches may have an extended banking hours up to 7 PM. If you have an urgent matter, you may proceed to the nearest branch in your area at an earlier time.
